Amber Lynn - A Florist’s Journey Rooted in Family and Nature
Being surrounded by nature and flowers was probably Amber's best gift ever. Her Aunt Rosemary introduced her to the beauty of seasonal flowers through her carefully tended cut-flower garden. Her Grandmother Martha’s decades of nurturing Iris and Lilium beds left a lasting impression, turning those flowers into family treasures. Meanwhile, her mother’s love of gardening with herbs and edible flowers taught Amber to appreciate the simple beauty of nature and the importance of living mindfully.
Working at a prestigious country club during her college years in 2009 sparked Amber Lynn's interest in wedding design. Working directly with venue planners, she supported well-known weddings and events with 250–500 guests, learning the fine distinction between flower design and wedding preparation. These early encounters led her to open Snapdragon Bloom Bar, a place where floral design and poignant storytelling collide. Amber has spent the past several years creating stunning floral arrangements for Arizona and destination weddings worldwide.

Amber opened up about her vision for wanting to create a supportive space where florists can connect, share ideas, and grow together since she can remember. She shared about drawing inspiration from the natural world and staying focused during challenging moments, and it was here where her business was born.

Amber stays motivated as a creative by grounding herself in nature. In her garden, she finds unfiltered inspiration from the movement of flowers in the wind and the balance of its ecosystem. She approaches floral design by starting with understanding each flower’s blooming stages, drawing parallels to her own journey—acknowledging that we’re not always in full bloom during our evolution. She points to the cosmos as an example, noting their beauty even in the leggy stage, where buds begin to emerge from a stem that adds an organic quality to bouquets or Ikebana arrangements.
For florists facing creative blocks, her advice is to disconnect and spend time outside at sunrise, surrounded by wild plants and flowers. She emphasizes letting nature speak to you, observing its textures, unusual forms, and the various stages of bloom. This quiet time in nature, she believes, can offer mindful inspiration that no social media post or book can replicate.
