Canaan working his magic
There is a sense that the vision is already clear before the first stem is placed, giving his work an ease that feels both natural and intentional. His energy brings a celebratory tone to every setting, one that carries through each arrangement and event he touches.
Key Processes Involved in His Way of Designing With Flowers
Relationships with clients are a key part of his process. He quickly understands their personalities and translates that into designs that feel aligned and personal. From Macon to Atlanta and beyond, his work has drawn a loyal following, known for expressive tablescapes, statement mantels, and distinctive bridal bouquets. His designs have appeared in publications such as Southern Living, Modern Luxury, Flower Magazine, Traditional Home, and Macon Magazine.

His portfolio includes events such as To Live & Dine at ADAC, Design Wine & Dine, and the opening party for the Decorators' Show House & Gardens. He also appeared as a contestant on Season 2 of Full Bloom. Across all of his work, the floral designer brings together a sense of ease and boldness, creating designs that feel effortless while carrying a distinct and lively character.
He shares:
“In a million years, I would not have thought I would be a florist. I don’t have a blueprint, but I do have points and stages in my life that I want to meet. It’s just things I love, and it makes one big greenhouse. It all comes together to make a big picture for me, and I’m grateful for that. Being a florist really pushed me outside my comfort zone and made me more adaptable to change. I love what I do.”

His First Encounter and Interest in Flowers
His interest in floral design was first piqued at Macon’s Museum of Arts and Sciences, where he worked for 12 years. The museum is also an event venue, and he was intrigued by how the fundraisers and parties were hosted.

Canaan said:
"The thing I loved the most was the accessory of the flowers. When you’re all dressed up, and you’ve got your makeup on, that little earring can be that great accessory to show off your whole face. That’s what I think flowers are to the overall package. It was a great accessory for a party. I was like, I can do that."
