Mid-Year Board and Committee Meetings Advance WFFSA's 2026 Strategic Planning

WFFSA’s Board of Directors and committees met at The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio for several days of structured reviews, planning sessions, and strategy alignment. The gathering brought together leaders from across the floral distribution community to evaluate progress on current initiatives and refine the organization’s roadmap for 2026.

The meetings opened with work from the Marketing and Education Committees, which assessed membership-growth efforts, outreach strategies, and the performance of WFFSA’s educational portfolio, including the 2025 Floral Distribution Conference and DevX sessions held earlier this year. Committee members reviewed upcoming program needs and opportunities for expanding professional development offerings.

Later sessions focused on governance, financial oversight, and long-term strategic goals. Board members assessed ongoing projects aimed at supporting wholesalers, suppliers, transportation partners, and other stakeholders in the floral supply chain.

WFFSA President Freddy Melero emphasized the essential role of volunteer leaders and shared:

“WFFSA’s progress is a direct result of the commitment and expertise of our volunteer board and committee members. Their collaboration ensures the association remains forward-focused and responsive to our industry’s needs.”
