I want to share some of the details that made this exhibition unique for those who couldn’t attend the IFTF show (International Floriculture Trade Fair) in the Netherlands this year. The IFTF is not only one of the largest annual floral events worldwide but also a great space to discover purposeful varieties, creatively displayed to become chosen to adapt to the current trends and demands of each season and its respective market.

De Ruiter Is a Must-Stop With a Purpose

At this annual showing, De Ruiter is a must-stop. I selected each of the following roses with a particular intent. The sunny yellow and earthy tones, like the ones you see here, are ideal for creating timeless designs; allowing their warmth and versatility to make them perfect for any season. Lavenders, always on-trend, have become synonymous with romance and are perfect for delicate, poetic designs. Whites, on the other hand, maintain a constant demand across all markets, bringing elegance and purity—essential qualities in any design.

My Colors and Varietes at De Ruiter

The light pink rose, with its soft, pure tone, adds a touch of freshness and refinement. Its dominant size makes it an ideal choice for impactful installations or lush-style designs, evoking the feeling of a romantic, abundant garden. This variety offers versatility, allowing it to partake in both modern and classic compositions; always delivering a charming and distinguished result.

I couldn’t leave out the green-toned rose, Lime X-pression, which brings a dramatic and unique texture to the playground, a rose perfect for bouquets and creative arrangements with character. Its unusual tone and structure add impressive depth and a modern touch to any floral composition in which it is added.

Christmas-Themed Booth

Each of these varieties has been chosen with a clear purpose, as I feel they fit into the realm of creating impactful designs. During the IFTF, the De Ruiter's booth this year was a must-stop visit as the eye-catching warmth of their display elegantly showed off a contemporary Christmas theme, where each of their varieties was displayed in specific niches or seasonal stations, showing off its array of colors and floral forms in such perfect harmony. Their holiday warmth brought a cozy atmosphere, making all visitors feel at home, immersing them in the spirit of the season and the beauty of their novel roses.
