If there’s one floral trade show that really knows how to bring people and products together, it’s Proflora Colombia. Every other year, Bogotá becomes a kind of global meetup point for flower professionals from every corner of the industry. And yep — it’s that time again. From October 1–3, 2025, Proflora is back at Corferias with thousands of square meters of cut flowers, ideas, and real face-to-face connection. If you plan to exhibit, you'd better be fast, since 90% of the stands are already sold!
Discover Proflora: Explore, Connect & Experience the Magic
Since 1973, Asocolflores has represented, promoted, and strengthened the competitiveness of Colombian floriculture in its main flower markets. And every two years, they organize Proflora. This is no average flower fair. It’s a full-blown industry moment — part discovery tour, part trend radar, and part business hub.

For breeders, growers, traders, florists, and anyone knee-deep in stems and sourcing, Proflora is the kind of show where you don’t just look — you experience. You walk the aisles, bump into old contacts, meet new ones, and actually see what your next bestseller might look like in the vase. The theme this year? Explore. Connect. Experience the Magic. And yes — it fits.
It’s a solid chance to see up close what Colombian growers are up to (and they’re up to a lot), while also meeting international breeders, exporters, logistics players, and packaging specialists. There’s an emphasis on quality, diversity, and good old-fashioned in-person networking.
Who’s Showing Up?
Expect over 7,000 attendees from more than 60 countries, alongside 300+ exhibitors coming from around 15 countries. You’ll find everything from large-scale rose farms in the Sabana region to niche tropical growers showing off oddball greens you didn’t know you needed.
And it’s not just growers. You’ve got post-harvest tech, breeding labs, bouquet developers, certification bodies, and more. Basically, anyone involved in the lifecycle of a flower — from seed to centerpiece — is likely walking around the halls of Corferias that week.

One Word: Varieties
Let’s talk about the Outstanding Varieties Competition — a Proflora staple. In 2023, it drew over 420 entries across 19 categories. That included roses, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, carnations, tropicals, and plenty of “wait, what is that?” types too.
Judging looks at everything from vase life and stem structure to color uniqueness and shelf appeal. And when someone wins? It usually signals a shift in the market. Asocolflores president Augusto Solano put it best: “What gets awarded here, gets adopted fast.” So yeah, this is a competition with real-world impact.

What’s Fresh in 2025?
This year’s edition feels more plugged in than ever. Registration is open, and things are moving fast — again, 90% of the floor space is already spoken for. Expect new field tours, where you’ll be able to step onto Colombian farms and get a sense of how sustainability and traceability are being built into every stem.
Colombia has come a long way concerning diversification. Therefore, the product diversity at Proflora is becoming increasingly wider and wider. Also, the exhibitor list is broader than ever, with even more growers from Colombia’s coffee region, who specialize in tropical flowers and foliage, joining the party.
And sustainability? It’s not a side note anymore. It’s baked into the talks, the tours, and the future plans of every serious grower there.
Three of the best reasons to visit Proflora are:
- Early trend-spotting: New colors, new shapes, new textures. It’s all there before it floods Instagram. You’ll leave with a mental notebook of ideas — and probably a few phone snapshots of your favorite finds.
- Better supplier insight: Meeting growers and breeders in person beats email chains and catalog PDFs any day. If you want to build relationships with folks who can ship quality stems consistently, this is your chance.
- Real-deal conversations: The booths are good. But the coffee chats and dinner meetups? That’s where the useful stuff happens. Supply chain updates, sustainability shifts, tips for better handling — it’s all on the table.
