The Institute of Flowers in Ireland has announced a multi-year educational partnership with internationally recognised floral designer Joseph Massie. The collaboration aims to provide structured training, creative development, and business support for florists across Ireland.
This partnership brings together the Institute’s focus on professional development with Massie’s experience as an educator and designer. Together, they plan to deliver programmes that support florists in strengthening their design skills while also building sustainable and successful businesses.
Wedding and Event Masterclass
The collaboration will begin with a two-day Wedding and Event Masterclass scheduled to take place in Ireland in October 2026. The event will offer florists the opportunity to work closely with Joseph Massie and gain insight into contemporary wedding and event design.
Following the masterclass, members of the Institute of Flowers will have access to a series of online workshops developed specifically for the Irish floristry community. These sessions will address both creative techniques and business strategies that help florists grow their professional practice.
Supporting Creative and Professional Growth
Joseph Massie is widely known for his contemporary design approach and his work in floral education. As the founder of The UK School of Floristry and the online learning platform LearnJosephMassie.com, he has helped thousands of florists build confidence in their craft while strengthening their creative direction.
Through this partnership, Massie will work with the Institute of Flowers to provide continued education opportunities that support florists at different stages of their careers.
Strengthening the Irish Floristry Community
For the Institute of Flowers, the collaboration represents a long-term investment in the development of floristry in Ireland. By combining in-person masterclasses with ongoing online education, the programme will offer consistent access to international expertise while helping florists connect, learn, and develop within the industry.
Further details about the Wedding and Event Masterclass and the upcoming online training sessions will be released in early 2026.
