The International Floriculture Trade Expo (IFTEX) returns to Nairobi from June 2–4, 2026, and one name that will be hard to miss at the flower trade fair is Marginpar. With an assortment grown across four African countries, featuring exclusive summer flower varieties, Marginpar's place in the floral trade is a thesis of their standing for reliable quality, innovation, and more. The grower is, for that reason, set to make their Stand B5.21 a place worth planning your visit around when attending the event. So here is everything you’d want to know before you stop by.

A Grower With a Rich Flower Production Heritage

Dutch-rooted and Africa-based, Marginpar has built a highly specialized range of summer cut flowers, operating across 16 farms spread over Kenya, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania. The grower produces hundreds of millions of cut flower stems annually, shipped to markets across the world.

Still fresh from achieving 100% Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI) compliance, Marginpar's flowers thrive in Eastern and Southern Africa regions, where altitude and climate conditions give their specialty varieties unique qualities rarely found in many others in similar categories. The flowers tend to have strong stems, rich color saturation, long vase life, and are a year-round assortment that remains trend-setting by design, having been developed with great precision and innovation.

The grower’s philosophy is people-focused, which is quite a plus, because Marginpar believes that trusting, valuing, and empowering its team is what drives the quality of everything (flowers) produced. This approach carries through to their farm-level operations and even how they engage with customers and partners in the global flower trade.

A Network of Farms Across Four African Countries

Marginpar's farms (and partner farms) are spread across different countries, with unique growing conditions for different varieties. In Kenya, the grower has several farms, including Bondet Farm, Kariki Juja Farm, Kariki Naivasha Farm, KS Farm, Kudenga Farm, MR Farm, and ST Farm, all of which collectively grow a wide range of specialty flowers, from Eryngium and Scabiosa to Limonium, Aster, and many others.

Ethiopia adds to these, with operations near Holeta in the Oromia Region sitting at roughly 2,500 meters above sea level. The highland climate creates ideal growing conditions for certain specialty varieties, including the Eryngium Questar® Series, Astrantia, and others.

In Zimbabwe, Marginpar works through partner farms including Claremont 21, Sunshine Flowers, and Tsanga Flora, whose operations produce varieties like Astilbe and additional Eryngium lines. Tanzania rounds out the lineup through Bondeni Main, Bondeni Machame, and Michiru Farm, where flowers like Gloriosa and many Clematis varieties are grown.

Their farms across the different countries provide supply continuity, cyclical balance, and the ability to grow varieties suited to specific climates, all of which mean a more reliable selection and supply of floral offerings for buyers and traders.
