IFTEX 2025 was a great success, filled with commercially driven conversations, a showcase of new floral innovations, tech, and new varieties from different growers and breeders alike. The three days offered a platform to reconnect with clients, new prospects, and even to catch up with the trends in the Kenyan floriculture space and the market at large.
Team Thursd was visibly present at the show, though not with a booth this year. My colleagues Marcel de Romph, Brian Okinda, and I showed up with one mission: to kickstart solution-oriented conversations on how we can collaboratively partner to promote and position Kenyan flowers globally.
Thursd is Good for You
This is more than a statement; it is a promise, one we have kept over the past five years. It is a call to action to be part of a like-minded community. A community comprised of florists, floral influencers, traders, growers, and breeders, to connect, exchange ideas, and conquer the markets as a team.

Together, we are strong, united, and we synergize, and that synergy needs to come out strongly and resilient amid the vast challenges our industry faces. One discussion with each exhibitor we met took center stage. Come join Thursd, this is more than a platform, it is a movement for better, a call to discard artificial flowers and embrace the use of fresh flowers and plants.

We are a partner who takes a keen interest in your marketing strategies. We brainstorm, give professional advice to ensure that your story is told effectively. In a way that complements what your marketing team strives for daily. By joining Thursd, you kickstart a bold journey of positioning and conquering your target markets while owning your narrative.
Own Your Story, Tell It to the World
From each interaction at the IFTEX, one thing was apparent: as an industry, we have incredible stories to tell. From each farm’s unique growing practices, social and environmental sustainability initiatives, to a vast range of flowers the Kenyan floriculture industry has to offer.

You have all come a long way, with immense challenges along the way, but you fought through them all. Every battle made you stronger, wiser, and resilient. You show up every day with one mission: to make a difference. To grow better, not only flowers but also your employees and the communities around you.

What a story to share with the world! But it won’t be possible without the initiative on your end. You have to own your story, tell it to the world proudly. The world ought to know the efforts you put daily into your craft as a grower or a breeder, as a florist, and as a trader. Every player within the supply chain has a unique story to tell, and the time to do so is now.
Let the Conversations Continue
Thursd is here to help you, to strategically create targeted brand awareness and positioning. Of all the amazing conversations we had, commitments to follow up and take the next steps. Let the fire keep on burning, let the conversations continue.

Let’s not wait until next year’s IFTEX, but let’s proactively take action. The Kenyan floriculture sector has come a long way, with so many milestones along the way and many more to conquer. But for today, we pause and celebrate with pride the progress made thus far.

I am immensely proud to be associated with this industry. Every conversation fueled me, inspired me to continuously tell our story, to exchange ideas with you, to always eagerly find ways I can be of help, and with Thursd, you have a great platform to amplify your voice even further.
I look forward to visiting you at the farm to witness firsthand the daily efforts you invest to grow and deliver joy and memorable moments to the rest of the world. That’s a promise from my end, indeed, our conversations will continue, we will build upon them, and put them into actionable steps. So that, when we reconnect during next year’s IFTEX, we will look back with pride and joy.

So let the conversations continue…
