It seems like a dream to spend your days among flowers, right? Kowsh Rawson experiences this as a floral designer and the founder of Kiko Design daily. As one of Sydney's top floral design studios, Kowsh, having abandoned her marketing career to follow her innate passion for design, and her husband Josh have established a globally recognized brand, which has taken them around the world this past season to realize floral concepts. This studio-based florist creates inspiring floral arrangements for weddings, events, campaigns, and gifts. Get to know her (and him!) in this florist special.

Kowsh Rawson Said Goodbye to Office Life and Hello to the Flower World

Kiko was founded out of a natural obsession with flowers and styling. Having grown up in an extremely creative household, the founder, Kowsh, was instinctively drawn to art and design, finding comfort in expressing creativity through various platforms.

After dedicating the early years to study and building a career in marketing, it soon became clear that true passion lay beyond the confines of an office and closer to the dynamic world of event design.

With years of experience working alongside some of Sydney’s most renowned florists—such as Hermetica Flowers, Poho Flowers, Mr Cook, and Sweet Art—the time felt right to launch a personal venture and build something uniquely their own.

In 2017, just a few months after getting married, Josh also made the leap, leaving his finance role to join in the whirlwind journey into the world of flowers. Since then, it has been a wild and rewarding ride. The pair feels incredibly fortunate to work together, sharing both the joys and the challenges of running a small business. Alongside a talented team of florists who bring their creativity and skill to the studio every day, they have built a brand they are deeply proud of, contributing to stunning weddings and events over the years.

Florals? Kiko Floral Design Speaks It Fluently

Kiko Design has been thoughtfully built into a space that feels far from a traditional workplace. It's a studio filled with people the team truly adores, frequent visits from their beloved fur friend—Finn, the golden hunk—and an endless love for flowers and a stream of coffee. With bad music playing in the background and beautiful creations taking shape daily, for Kowsh and Josh, it stopped feeling like 'work' a long time ago.

Kiko has since evolved into a full-service styling, interior design, and consulting business, offering end-to-end curation and management across Sydney and beyond. Every Kiko project is built from scratch, driven by instinct, experience, and a love for beautiful storytelling through design. A favorite flower? Kowsh says she cannot possibly pick one, but if given no choice, she would stick to a bougainvillea.
