I am a creative florist, and I am delighted to present my Christmas floral décor inspired by Crimson Nocturne (#62122A), the Thursd Floral Trend Color of the Year 2026. This deep, velvety tone instantly caught my attention, not only for its richness but also for its emotional depth. Crimson Nocturne represents passion, reflection, and authenticity, all values that I hold close in my work.

How Do I Express My Passion in Design?

This creation is much more than a floral design. It’s a piece that expresses my passion, love, and personality, combined with the joyful and emotional atmosphere of Christmas. I wanted to create something that feels timeless and festive yet modern and sophisticated; a design that truly reflects what I love about floristry.

What Was My Inspiration?

The inspiration behind this work came from the emotional story that color can tell. Crimson Nocturne has a sense of quiet luxury, elegant and grounded, with an almost musical depth. I imagined this mood translated into a festive arrangement: something warm, expressive, and full of character. To bring my vision to life, I selected flowers and materials that would complement and enhance this color story. I used the amazing Vanda orchids from Ansu Vanda, their striking purple hue and intricate patterns create a vibrant contrast against the crimson tones.

They are truly perfect flowers in both color and texture. Alongside them, I added my favourite Clematis from Marginpar, delicate and graceful, giving a soft rhythm to the composition. To complete the trio, I chose Lisianthus ‘Rosita Red’, a stunning variety whose tone harmonises beautifully with the Crimson Nocturne color theme. Every flower was chosen not only for its beauty but for how it connects with the others, creating a sense of harmony and dialogue between shades and forms.

The candles, ribbon, and star-shaped structure were all selected in the same deep crimson tone to echo the main trend color, while the purple Clematis and Vanda introduce a mysterious, almost nocturnal quality. The addition of green Abies brings freshness and texture, instantly evoking the Christmas mood. A few gold details, subtle but intentional, add warmth and a festive glow. I wanted this arrangement to express the essence of Christmas: light and warmth in the middle of winter, a celebration of beauty, reflection, and connection. The contrast between the rich red and the vibrant purple gives energy, while the evergreens ground the composition in nature.

Is it Possible to Replace the Flowers?

This design is not only decorative but also functional. Each flower is placed in a water tube, allowing it to stay hydrated and fresh for days. This makes it easy to maintain; the flowers can be replaced or refreshed when needed without affecting the structure of the design. Because of its form and balance, this arrangement is extremely versatile. It can beautifully decorate a living room, festive dining table, hotel lobby, office reception, or boutique display. Whether placed as a pair or standing alone, it adds a touch of luxury and artistic flair to any interior.

The Meaning of Design and This Color to Me

For me, this piece represents what floristry truly is — the art of storytelling through flowers. Every color, shape, and texture has meaning. Crimson Nocturne gives voice to emotion and depth, while the flowers express vitality and individuality. Together, they create something more than decoration — they create feeling. This design is a personal reflection of who I am as a florist. It celebrates my love for nature, my passion for design, and my belief that flowers can express emotions that words cannot. The festive season, for me, is about warmth, connection, and gratitude — and I wanted this piece to embody all of that.

My Crimson Nocturne Christmas arrangement celebrates the power of color and emotion in floral art. It’s a story of passion and reflection, of love and creativity, and of how design can transform space and mood. Through this work, I hope to share not only beauty but also inspiration — a reminder that color connects us, and that every creation begins with feeling. FAQ

Why is Crimson Nocturne such a strong color for Christmas design?

Crimson Nocturne brings depth and emotion to a festive setting. It feels warm, rich, and expressive, which makes it perfect for Christmas arrangements that tell a story rather than just decorate a space.

Which flowers work well with Crimson Nocturne?

Vanda orchids, Clematis, and Lisianthus Rosita Red are beautiful choices because their tones and textures blend naturally with this deep red mood. They create harmony, contrast, and movement in the design.

How long will the flowers stay fresh in this arrangement?

Each flower sits in a water tube, so the design stays fresh for several days. You can easily replace or refresh any flower without changing the structure.

Where can this arrangement be placed?

It works well in many spaces such as a living room, festive table, boutique display, hotel lobby, or office reception. The design brings warmth and elegance wherever it stands.

Yes. The structure is flexible, so seasonal flowers or different color accents can be added while keeping the same mood and story.

I never planned to work in floristry – it happened by accident. After school, I started working in a flower shop as a helper, just washing buckets and conditioning flowers. When I came to the UK, I realised I could continue working with flowers, and that's really where everything began.

Now, I can officially call myself a Master Florist.

This qualification means I have reached the highest level in my field. It has given me a deeper understanding of floristry, more creative freedom, and the confidence to share my skills with others.

While studying for my Master's, I also passed the NAFAS demonstration test. This has given me more opportunities to showcase my skills and be creative, which makes me very happy.

This qualification has opened new doors in the floristry world. It has given me the opportunities to work with talented people, including joining the Morgan-Douglas Nuth team, and to take part in exciting floral projects. I feel like my journey is only just beginning, and I'm ready to explore even more possibilities in this beautiful industry.

I want to use my knowledge to inspire others, maybe teach in the future, and continue developing unique floral designs. Floristry is no longer just a job for me – it's my passion and my life.
