The World Cup of Floral Art in The Hague has brought together the very best floral designers from across the globe, each showcasing their artistry, technical precision, and imagination. Among these stars, Claudia Tararache from Romania shone brightly, proudly achieving 9th place in this prestigious competition.
For Claudia, this milestone is more than a ranking—it’s the culmination of years of dedication, passion, and an unshakable belief in the power of flowers to tell stories.
A Floral Path Rooted in Passion and Supported by Family
Claudia’s floral path began with curiosity and wonder, evolving into a lifelong pursuit of creativity and excellence. With her floral shop in Constanța, she has long balanced the daily rhythm of bouquets and customer work with her own artistic ambitions.
Her story is one of persistence. From teaching herself the basics to studying with world-renowned masters, like a private class with Hanneke Frankema, and Master classes with Gregor Lersch at Boerma, Claudia never stopped pushing her boundaries. Step by step, she refined her craft, layering technical skill with artistic sensitivity. The World Cup was her chance to bring all of these experiences together on one stage.

Competing Among the World’s Best
The World Cup of Floral Art is no small challenge. Six assignments, each demanding precision, originality, and storytelling, tested the competitors’ endurance as much as their artistry. And yes, you are reading it right, Claudia was one of ten final competitors on stage, so she was one of ten to create a design for the The Hague City Bike. From monumental designs in Task 1 and Task 3 to delicate hand-held work in Task 4 and Task 5, Claudia poured herself into every piece.

Placing 9th in the world is a huge achievement — not just for her personally, but also for Romania. Nicu Bocancea participated in the Europa Cup in Katowice in 2022 and became 4th, which was a huge achievement. Claudia is the first Romanian competitor, through A.A.D.F., in the history of the World Cup, and therefore has written history for her country, inspiring a new generation of florists to dream big.
Pride and Gratitude
When reflecting on her result, Claudia radiated pride and joy. For her, being on that stage was already a dream realized, and finishing 9th filled her with gratitude.

Claudia, after the competition:
“This was amazing, to have my husband by my side, to have Sara-Lisa Ludvigsson assisting me, I was able to give my best. I am proud of what I created, and I am proud of this journey. It was not only about the results, but about the friendships, the experience, and the growth that comes with standing among the best in the world. This week provided me with so much knowledge, I'm beyond grateful.”
Her words capture what the World Cup is truly about: not only competing but also connecting, sharing, and celebrating the universal language of flowers.

A Signature Style
Claudia’s designs are instantly recognizable. Detailed, decorative, and structured, they reflect her love for texture and precision. She often combines strong mechanical techniques with a soft, poetic touch, creating work that is both powerful and emotional.
At the World Cup, this style came through in every assignment. Judges and visitors could see her hand in the carefully considered lines, the attention to structure, and the sensitivity in how she treated each bloom. Her work told stories — stories of nature, heritage, and emotion.
A Step Toward the Future
Placing in the top 10 of the World Cup has only fueled Claudia’s ambition. She sees this achievement not as an ending, but as a beginning. With renewed confidence, she is ready to take on new projects, share her knowledge, and continue contributing to the international floral community.
Her dream is to inspire others, especially young florists in Romania and beyond, showing them that with passion, hard work, and perseverance, the biggest stages are within reach.

More Than a Competition
For Claudia, the World Cup wasn’t just about creating designs — it was about the invisible bonds between florists. She returns home not only with a ranking but also with friendships, memories, and a deep sense of belonging to a global floral family.
The florist who is a proud ambassador of Porta Nova—having created the most beautiful arrangements for years and occasions—proudly carries with her the knowledge that flowers connect people across cultures, borders, and languages—and that through flowers, we can all share beauty with the world.

Her 9th place at the World Cup of Floral Art 2025 is a milestone for her career, for Romania, and for the global floral community. It is proof of her talent, her persistence, and her belief in the transformative power of flowers.
With pride in her heart and gratitude in her words, Claudia steps into the future — a true floral storyteller, and now officially one of the top 10 floral designers in the world.
