IPM Essen is the next eagerly awaited event in the floral industry. If you have visited this mega fair before and remember the old FDF World setup, this is your next step. The IPM Flower Stage is a refreshed stage concept in Hall 5 at IPM Essen 2026, designed as a daily rhythm of talks, live demos, and show moments that connect directly to what happens in shops, studios, and event work. Below is the full program so you can start planning ahead and not miss a thing.
This Is the IPM Flower Stage
A big part of the idea: it’s not only a floristry club anymore. The stage is open to exhibitors and institutions from across the green sector, which means more product-driven sessions, more formats, and more reasons to sit down for 30 minutes instead of sprinting to the next booth. You will see big names and familiar faces showcase and perform. Check this out:
Day 1: Tuesday, January 27
The first day sets the tone fast: online visibility, trend thinking for 2026, and stage shows that lean into craft and culture. Tuesday’s program is a mix of business triggers and big-stage floristry. On the practical side, Ekaflor kicks off with a session on what a large following really means for your business.
10:00–10:45 – Ekaflor & Daniela Kirmse: 90,000 Followers – Curse or Blessing?
11:00–11:45 – Decorum: Floristry International ‘Pure Perfection Passion Show’ with Yulia Medvedyeva, Stefan Van Berlo, and Joseph Massie.
12:15–13:00 – Vahldiek: ‘Flower Up Your Ideas’ – Designs, Styles, and Trends 2026 with Franka Roenhorst, Anja Ersing, and Chantal Post.
14:00–14:45 – Floristic Exotics: ‘The Spirit of Aloha’ (hosted by Björn Kroner) with Brenna Quan and Sue Tabbal-Yamaguchi.
15:15–16:00 – Marginpar: ‘Flower Riot – She Blooms Live: High-End Floristry Meets Attitude!' with Hanneke Frankema, Sara-Lisa Ludvigsson, and Elisabeth Schoenemann.
16:00–16:30 – Flower Talk by G&V: Floristry. Female. Forward.
Day 2: Wednesday, January 28
If Tuesday is the opener, Wednesday is the deepening: from 24/7 selling to show-driven technique and teamwork on stage. The middle days are where the Flower Stage format makes sense: get a business talk, walk straight into the hall to scout suppliers, then come back for a show while your brain is still busy connecting dots. That Hall 5 loop is exactly what Messe Essen is aiming for with the ‘Creative Hall’ setup.
11:00–11:45 – Ekaflor, Stephanie & Max Zebovec: Selling 24/7, From Idea to Execution.
11:45–12:15 – Marginpar: ‘Flower Riot – She Blooms Live: High-End Floristry Meets Attitude!' with Hanneke Frankema, Sara-Lisa Ludvigsson, and Elisabeth Schoenemann.
12:15–12:45 – Flower Talk by G&V: Floristry. Female. Forward.
13:00–13:45 – Decorum: Floristry International ‘Pure Perfection Passion Show’ with Yulia Medvedyeva, Stefan Van Berlo, and Joseph Massie.
14:15–15:00 – Floristic Exotics: ‘The Spirit of Aloha’ (hosted by Björn Kroner) with Brenna Quan and Sue Tabbal-Yamaguchi.
15:30–16:30 – FLOOS: Floristry International ‘The Crafters’ Secret’ with Carles J. Fontanillas, Alex Segura, Rudy Casati, Iza Tkaczyk, moderated by Johann Obendrauf.
Day 3: Thursday, January 29
Thursday leans into industry direction and customer-facing ideas, then finishes with the easiest networking plan of the week. This day is the most ‘talk-heavy’ day, in a good way. You’ll get discussions around business models (stationary versus digital), how to run profitable workshops for customers, plus the kind of sector-wide updates you normally only catch if you’re plugged into associations and initiatives. And yes, this is also the evening when the stage area turns into a meet-up spot with the Florist Get-Together!
10:00–10:45 – FDF Talk: Brick-and-Mortar vs. Digital – New Business Models in the Industry.
11:30–12:15 – FLOOS: Floristry International ‘The Crafters’ Secret’ with Carles J. Fontanillas, Alex Segura, Rudy Casati, Iza Tkaczyk, moderated by Johann Obendrauf.
12:45–13:30 – Ekaflor & Lorena Menk: Profitable Floristry Workshops for Customers.
14:30–15:15 – Vahldiek: ‘Flower Up Your Ideas’ – Designs, Styles, and Trends 2026 with Franka Roenhorst, Anja Ersing, and Chantal Post.
15:30–16:15 – FDF Talk: Industry. Initiative. Vision. + The 2026 Charity Campaign ‘Blumen Schenken, Hoffnung Spenden’ (Giving Flowers, Donating Hope) by KiTZ.
From 17:00 – Party Time: Get-Together, Floristry Party With a Live DJ.
Day 4: Friday, January 30
Friday is compact: a creative performance, practical shop-floor merchandising, and the IPM Messe-Cup ceremony to wrap it up. Although this day has a half-day vibe compared to the rest of the week, it still lands with purpose. You’ll catch a fast, spontaneous stage format, then a session focused on getting more out of your existing selling space. And the IPM Messe-Cup winner ceremony is the closing moment on the stage.
10:30–11:00 – Floral Standup-Performance: Spontaneous, Creative, Vibrant.
11:00–11:45 – Ekaflor's Christof Rumbaum & Sven Knutzen: More Results Through Well-Staged Retail Spaces.
IPM Messe-Cup – Winner Ceremony 2026.
Wow, That's a Wrap!
Can you believe this huge program fits into just four days of the fair? It may be the best four days of your entire floral year when it comes to learning, catching tons of inspiration, and doing some serious networking with industry professionals. Don't miss out on this opportunity to come to Essen in the final week of January; you will benefit from it for the rest of 2026.
Final note: this program overview is listed as valid as of December 2025, with changes possible. Check the IPM Essen website for last-minute changes.
