About Montis

Montis is a member of Decorum. Like all other members, this grower is carefully selected with one aim: to grow plants of the highest quality under the brand name of Decorum. Born into a horticultural family and growing up among the crops, Nico van den Berg started his own company together with his wife Elly in 1987. Currently, Nico cultivates calathea Crocata Candela, aster Showmaker, campanula, helleborus, and portulaca together with his son Niels. Quality is extremely important at Montis, forming the focus for the entire company. Everything is automated for optimal quality and complies with the latest environmental requirements. Calathea Crocata is their own selection variety from Kwekerij Montis with especially large and deep orange-colored flowers. The addition of ‘candela’ refers to the candle-like shape of the flowers. A special story for a special plant! Montis delivers his best plants every season with the compliments of Decorum.
