Van der Gulik BV is a family-run business that has been around for fifty years. The nursery and bulb-forcing company was originally established by Henk van der Gulik, the uncle of the current owner. Since then, while the company has grown to cover 18 hectares of outdoor cultivation and forces around 3 million stems, Patrick van der Gulik has become co-owner.
Quality and Continuous Innovation
The focus of the business is quality and continuous innovation. To achieve this, Van der Gulik is a member of the Mellflower association, which is devoted to testing and marketing new tulip varieties. This partnership provides Van der Gulik with a continuous supply of the latest varieties.
Van der Gulik is a relatively small company, so each tulip is individually labeled; every tulip receives the attention it deserves and needs. From planting the bulbs to forcing the flowers, Patrick and Ted keep a close eye on all their ‘stars’. Every season, father and son deliver the best tulips, with the compliments of Decorum.
