De Heufkens focuses on growing beautiful, uniform, and robust freesias, which make their way to florists around the world. The freesia is not only typically Dutch but also remarkable due to the extensive manual labor required for its cultivation. The challenge and artisanal nature of this work have always fascinated Erik Bok.
