About Lolomarik

Wheat and Roses

Lolomarik started in 2011 and now has 40 ha. It is part of a large ranch in Laikipia. The main crop grown here is wheat, but now quality roses are also grown with a lot of passion. The nursery is located at an altitude of 2,350 meters at the foot of Mount Kenya. Because of this height and location near the equator, Lolomarik is able to deliver consistent quality all year round.

Conservation, Community, Culture, and Commerce

Lolomarik employs 450 people, of whom approximately 30% are women. Lolomarik is part of a program that integrates conservation, community, culture, and commerce. They currently have 13 varieties with about 3 ha per variety. All flowers are sold daily on the clocks of Royal FloraHolland Aalsmeer.
