With the upcoming 2024 International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) set to take place from November 5th to 7th, rose breeder United Selections alongside partners Alstroemeria specialist Könst Alstroemeria, and Chrysanthemum breeder, Icon Selections, come together again in their true nature to bring a floral showcase celebrating their flowers and some accomplished milestones.
The trio of flower breeders will, just in their usual, style be presenting their new and old varieties, alongside other latest ones—those that you’ve definitely not seen before—in a floral galore that is bound to be just as thrilling as it will be delightful. The floral blend easily presents all you’ll need to create a wonderful bouquet of mixed flowers.
An Exquisite Array of Roses, Alstroemerias, and Chrysanthemums
Known to breed some of the biggest names in the roses world, United Selections always goes above and beyond, guaranteeing that all the roses that come from its breeding facilities meet all the expectations of the growers, and definitely floral designers, florists, retailers and other rose enthusiasts.
Think of big-time varieties like Rose Madam Red, Rose Confidential, Rose Madam Cerise, Rose Finally, Rose Madam Pink, Rose Jumilia, and many others, which have been loved and remained relevant in the flower industry for quite a long time.
In fact, Rose Jumilia has been one of United Selections' strongest varieties for at least the past ten years, and at the 2024 IFTF, the breeder will be celebrating this feat in their booth on Tuesday the 5th of November at 11 AM with a celebration cake (so be there...). “We will be participating in this year's IFTF show starting on November 5th to 7th. Our booth is number B3.12, where we will be showcasing our assortments from the EU, Latin America, and Africa, as well as Alstroemerias from our collaboration with Könst Alstroemeria.
In fact, on Wednesday the 6th, the focus will be on Könst Alstroemeria—its takeover and incorporation—whereby the new board will be introduced. So, from 4 PM, everyone is invited to the occassion; there will be drinks and other revelries! In addition, for the first time, Icon Selections’ Chrysanthemum varieties will be on showcase, following our partnership with the Colombian breeder since last year.”
For the roses, United Selections—which oftentimes also works with WAC Breeding, and Infinity Breeding—will this time round put more focus on some blossoms and standard roses.
1. Spray Rose Snowy Blossoms
Spray Rose Snowy Blossoms is a classic white spray rose variety that is probably every florist's dream. With its beautifully clustered spray roses on each stem, it creates a lush and luxurious feel in any design and arrangement. The spray rose is perfect in quality too. It is bright white and has long and sturdy stems, as well as big buds in a spray formation.
2. Spray Rose Champagne Blossoms
Spray Rose Champagne Blossoms is a relatively new premium blossom spray rose that is peach-colored—just like the Pantone color of the year 2024. This spray rose is designed for grand occasions, with its nice champagne/wedding color, long stem length, and big buds.
3. Rose Nova Vita
When it comes to premium quality, purity, and a rose that can easily create intriguing moments, Rose Nova Vita, without a doubt, effortlessly tops the list. Though this variety has been there for some time now, it always seems to have a way of reinventing itself and coming out unique like you wish all your roses would.
Every other time, Rose Nova Vita shines and gives a new experience whenever used, and to add to that this premium white rose possesses some ideal qualities like being able to open up nicely, offering good transportation qualities, and being tolerant against botrytis for the grower. It is deep-yellow colored, has perfectly long stem lengths, and possesses a nice conical shape ideal for better pack rates. This is a variety you’d love when creating designs and floral arrangements that radiate optimism and positive energy.
5. Rose Sawa
Rose Sawa is a new variety added to the assortment at United Selections. This bright orange-colored rose is ideal in many ways just like its predecessors from the breeder. Alongside the perfect orange color, the rose opens nicely and is ideal when it comes to transportation. Plus, it is equally strong and maintains its look and character during sea freight.
