About Lionplant

Lionplant is a member of Decorum. Like all other members, this grower is carefully selected with one aim: to grow plants of the highest quality under the brand name of Decorum. Lionplant is a family-run company that specializes in cultivating pot chrysanthemums. As Hans van Leeuwen (owner of Lionplant) says: "Exclusive and with a touch more taste". Hans cultivates the Zembla assortment exclusively and especially for Chrysanne and is a true chrysanthemum specialist with year-round top quality. The plants are grown expertly, with the aim to combine the elegance of the cut chrysanthemum and the sustainability of a pot plant. By continuously searching for innovative chrysanthemums, we keep surprising our customers. This is partly realized by automation. Robots plant out the cuttings, space the plants more widely during growth to produce lovely round plants, ensure that the plants are automatically moved forwards, and place the chrysanthemums on the conveyor belt for camera grading. Not everything is automated, however. The plants are still disbudded by hand, their root growth evaluated, restrained, and packed in. This allows every order to match the customer’s request. Hans and his team deliver their loveliest plants daily with the compliments of Decorum
