Pim van den Akker. For years, this internationally acclaimed floral designer has been able to bring the pure beauty and emotional expressiveness of flowers to the attention of growers, florists, designers, media and consumers. With its design company in Delft, the recognized master binder is among the absolute top in (floral) design. In order to share his passion and drive with as many people as possible, Pim van den Akker travels all over the world. He is then busy for days to weeks giving demonstrations, inspiring and teaching colleagues and students, giving workshops, talking to the press and media. In short, Pim is a tireless promoter of the countless creative and unique possibilities that the flower business offers. Here on land, he has managed to convince several times with grandiose shows, in which he shows in a grand way that so much more can be done with flowers and design. Just think of the fantastic Floral Fashion Shows that he set up at Museum Het Prinsenhof in Delft. These sparkling opening acts for his floral museum exhibitions have been hailed in countries such as South Korea, Japan and Australia. "I think it is important to be able to share, to tell people and preferably to show what my work entails and how I realize beauty in creativity with beauty in product," Pim explains. “Our profession is much more than making an arrangement or a bouquet; florists and designers have the talent to capture the emotion of a product and translate it into striking flower design. ”
